3 days of adventures with Reykjavik Backpackers
Here‘s a chance to discover new sides of Iceland during winter. You‘ll find unforgettable adventures and experience breathtaking beauty while fighting raw Icelandic nature. On the tour you'll visit some of the most interesting and beautiful sight in the SoutWest part of Iceland. You'll explore 2000 year old lava cave, see geysers erupt and powerful waterfalls.
Rough itinerary
- Friday: The Golden Circle and Lava caving in the Leiðarendi cave
- Saturday: Glacial hike with optional introduction to ice climbing and the Skógafoss waterfall
- Sunday: Sleep in and explore Reykjavik on your own ollowed by a visit to the Blue Lagoon in the afternoon.

Equipment needed
A waterproof outer layer and a warm inner layer for day 1 and 2, headwear, gloves, waterproof pants and jacket. For the glacier hiking we recommend good hiking boots (can also be rented for 1.000 ISK). Bring a bathing suit and a towel to the Blue Lagoon or rent one on site.

Day 1 : 8 hours
Day 2 : 10 hours
Day 3 : 3 - 10 hours (depends on the time you spend in the Blue Lagoon)
