What is Iceland Airwaves?

Iceland Airwaves is an annual music event held in Reykjavik city center. It started out as a talent show in 1999 and has since grown to be an important part of Reykjavik‘s culture life. Today Airwaves hosts both upcoming bands and established. The festival attracts approximately 2.000 people from abroad annually to sample the freshest sounds, foreign and domestic.
