How do I get to Reykjavik Backpackers?
If arriving from the airport: Reykjavik Backpackers cooperates with the FLYBUS which operates in connection with all international flights arriving at Keflavik Airport. If you tell your driver you're headed to Reykjavik Backpackers in Reykjavik City you'll be taken to our doorstep. If you have to make a connection bus in BSI main bus terminal your driver will give you directions. For further information and tickets please follow this link.

What time is breakfast available?
Breakfast is available from 7:00 am - 10:00 am

Can I bring my sleeping bag?
Of course you can bring it! Your other option is to bring your own pillow and duvet cover and wrap it around our nice pillows and duvets. You can also rent it with us for a small fee. See prices here.

What time is check out/in?
Check out: 11:00 AM / Check in 14:00 PM
If you arrive earlier or leave at a later hour feel free to leave your luggage in our luggage storage, which is FREE of charge.

What are the opening hours?
We have 24 hour check in services.
Tourist information desk is open 24 hours (May 15th - September 14th) / 07:00 - 23:00 (September 15th - May 14th).

What's the cancellation policy?
We have 24 hour cancellation policy. All cancellation have to be written and sent to us by email to bookings@reykjavikbackpackers.com. More info about the Cancellation Policy.

Reykjavik Backpackers


Reykjavík Backpackers is a hostel in the heart of Reykjavík City. It´s run by travelers and adventures with hopes of creating a great place for other travelers and adventurers to sleep and relax as they visit Iceland's capital city!

The hostel is located on Laugavegur, the main shopping street. We are affiliated with Iceland‘s longest running adventure company, Arctic Adventures and our guests can choose from great offers on their tours.

Our staff can provide expert information on what to do, see and experience during your stay and will gladly arrange some activities for our guests. Each week the hostel staff will organize an activity in which everyone can join and together we‘ll head out for an adventure. With our unbeatable location and prices in a lively hostel we make it our priority to make your stay as pleasant as possible! See you in Iceland!
